Leon E. Moore, Jr., age 70, of East Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Mike Mertz will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour on Saturday at the church. Mr. Moore was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Franks Moore and father, Leon Edward Moore. He is survived by his mother, Littie Bell Brock of East Dublin; children, Leon R. Moore of East Dublin, Litt N. Moore of Fayetteville, NC, Dwayne Gibson of Cadwell, Lynn Carr of Lizella and Michael Gibson of East Dublin; brothers, Gary Harrell of Valdosta, Ronnie Moore of Jacksonville, FL, Frank Williams of Mississippi and Tom Williams of Hawkinsville; sister, Darlene Coward of Albany; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Gibson, Litt Moore, Gary Harrell, Ronnie Moore, Frank Williams and Tom Williams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon's International, P.O. Box 27, Dublin, GA 31040 and your local Veterans Association.
