Leonard John Kisalus, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2016 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. Visitation will be held at Townsend Funeral Home on Monday, November 21 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services are Tuesday, November 22, at 1:00 pm at Christ Episcopal Church in Dublin. Rev. Denise Vaughn will officiate. Mr. Kisalus, a US Army veteran and retired accountant, operated Standard Fast Tax in Dublin for many years. He was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, serving in many leadership roles for almost 50 years. He was very involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, helping many men and women achieve sobriety. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Lydia S. Kisalus, and his son, Jeffrey Durden Kisalus. Survivors include his children, Julianna Elizabeth Stanaland (Rev Mark Plummer) of Charlotte, North Carolina, John Christopher Kisalus (Ginny) of Victoria, Texas, Lisa Kisalus Kern (Fred) of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Claire Kisalus Jackson (Glen) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jimmy Brad Foreman of New York, New York. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We give special thanks and recognition to his loving and devoted caretaker and best friend, Carolyn Elaine Robinson. She cared for Lydia and then Len for 25 years. We will be forever grateful for her tender loving care she gave to our parents. Pallbearers will be his 6 grandsons, Jeffrey Douglas Jackson, Benjamin Christian Kern, John Christopher Kisalus, Jr., William Jeffrey Kisalus, Matthew Stanaland Plummer and Ken-Erik Nelson.
