Services for Lillian Maddox Bush, age 103 of Dublin will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Lamar Rabun will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday morning thirty minutes prior to the service. Mrs. Bush was a lifetime member of Brewton United Methodist Church serving as the church pianist for most of these years. She was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and served on numerous committees. She was a homemaker and the daughter of the late William Dessie Maddox and the late Emmie Mimbs Maddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, H. Claybourne Bush, sisters, Gladys Simpson, Ruth Frost, Gretchen Williams, Lois Hicks, and brother, Hugh Maddox. Mrs. Bush died November 29, 2011. She is survived by her son, William D. (Jackie) Bush of Dublin, two grandsons, Robert of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Mark of Dallas, TX, a sister Margie Webb of Garner, NC, sister in law, Peggy Maddox of the Brewton Community and several nieces and nephews.
