Services for Lillie M. Waddell, age 75, of Toomsboro, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Toomsboro Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bill Thigpen, Rev. Steve Keener, and Rev. Mark Grinsted will officiate. Mrs. Waddell died Monday, May 28, 2012. Mrs. Waddell was the daughter of the late Arthur Montgomery and the late Sallie Nesbitt Montgomery.She was a homemaker, a member of Toomsboro Baptist Church, and of the Sunday School Class. Mrs. Waddell served as the church pianist for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gene F. Waddell. Survivors include her husband, John F. Waddell, of Toomsboro; children, Rita W. (Hank) Burney and Keith S. (Heather) Waddell, all of Covington; grandchildren, Audrey Burney, Emma Waddell, and Ella Waddell. Hank Burney, Pete Williams, Harold Powers, Mark Montgomery, Billy Bissette, and Mickey Montgomery will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toomsboro Baptist Church.
