Services for Linda Darsey Braswell, age 69 of Dudley, will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tim Paulk will officiate. Mrs. Braswell was born in Laurens County to the late Thomas and Mattie Lord Darsey. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cordell Lumber Company and was a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church. She passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Serenity Place. Survivors include her husband, Roger Braswell of Dudley; daughters, Bonnie Fowler (Donnie) and Brenda Thomas (Jeff), both of Dudley; granddaughters, April Fowler (John Floyd), Hillary Thomas, Hannah Thomas, Michaela Thomas and Laura Sheffield (Scott); grandson, Michael Thomas; sisters, Myra Faircloth (Johnson), Emmalene Waldrep (Dennis) and Martha Darsey and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Thomas, John Floyd, Johnson Faircloth, Dennis Waldrep, Tommy Braswell and Charles Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be the Trustees of Buckhorn United Methodist Church, Randel Bryan, Philip Lord, Wayne Sirmons and Bobby Lawhorn. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
