Dora Louise Johnson Smith, age 83, of Dudley, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Myron Wise and Rev. Freddie Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00PM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dan Hooks, Jason Manning, Kris Lewis, Kasey Sahli, Phillip Shepherd, and Patrick Johnson.
Mrs. Smith was born in Twiggs County to the late Linder and Almedia Floyd. She was a homemaker and member of Dudley United Methodist Church. Louise was gifted at arranging flowers, working in her yard, and she loved life and her family. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Wade "Pat" Johnson, and Gary M. Smith; daughter, Patsy (Phillip) Manning; sister, Kaye Stone and brothers-in-law, Bobby Dean Stone and Carl Dixon.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Claude) Lewis, of Aynor, SC; son, Dennis (Joy) Johnson, of Dublin; grandchildren, Julie (Dan) Hooks, and Jason Manning, both of Dublin, Kimber Lewis, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Paige Lewis, of Decatur, Kris Lewis, of Conway, SC, Pam (Kasey) Sahli, of Dudley, and Phillip (Amber) Shepherd, and Patrick Johnson, both of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Linc Hooks, Maddie Hooks, and Jax Manning, all of Dublin, Jakob Sahli, Allie Sahli, and Lydia Sahli, all of Dudley; sisters, Beulah (Dudley) Floyd, and Sue (Billy Ray) Floyd, both of Jeffersonville, and Faye Dixon, of Macon; brother, W.G. (Jackie) Floyd, of Macon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Integrity Hospice and a special thank you to Mrs. Smith's caretakers, Estalita Spivey and Diane Willis.
