Lurline Helton Sanders, age 93, of Irwinton, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

Mrs. Sanders was born on September 23, 1927, in Bleckley County to the late Willie L. and Lallie Howell Helton. She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard John Sanders, and two brothers, Edward, and W.L. Helton.

Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn Minton (Don), of Jacksonville, NC, and Sharon Bobbitt (Ed), of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Rob Minton (Anna), of Wilmington, NC, Patrick Minton (Annett), of Dresden, Germany, Sarah Roop (Phillip), of Asheville, NC, Anna Swicegood (Kyle), of Wake Forest, NC, and Dayton Bobbitt (Laura), of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Christophe and Marianna Minton, of Dresden, Germany, and William and Samuel Roop, of Asheville, NC; sister, Joyce Stanford (J.L.), of Watkinsville, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Dublin Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Transitions LifeCare, who provided loving care of their mom for the last three months, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC, 27607, or to a favorite charity of choice.
