Services for Lynett McCoy, age 74, of East Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 26, 2017, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at McCoy and Jones Family Cemetery. Rev. Keith Collins and Rev. Ben Edwards will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. McCoy died Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Mrs. McCoy was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her husband, Dessie Henry McCoy; parents, Sammy and Annie Howell Brown; sisters, Willa Dean Self, Virgina Brooks; brothers, Charles Brown, Sammy Brown; and granddaughter, Jessica McCoy.

Survivors include her children, Annie O'Quinn, of Tifton, Penny M. Pike, of Minter, Perry H. McCoy, of East Dublin, Jennie McCoy, of Minter, Kandy (David) Jones, of Rockledge, and Peggy L. (Robert) Henriksen, of East Dublin; sisters, Diane Brown, and Linda Neal, both of Atlanta; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert Henriksen, Reggie Warren, Jason Leverette, Caleb Shelton, Brian Mallette, and Maury Beasley will serve as pallbearers.

The family headquarters will be at the home of Penny Pike.
