Mack Bridie Bryson died December 24, 2016 at home, ending an extended illness. He was born December 31, 1929, in Blackshear, GA, to the late Maggie (Ware) and S. L. Bryson. Mr. Bryson was married 65 years to Togie Brantley Bryson. He was an alumnus of Brewton Parker College and retired from J.P. Stevens/Forstmann, as a shift supervisor. He also was a sales representative for Electrolux for 40 plus years until the time of his death. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dublin and a past long time member of the Dublin Civitan Club, along with several other organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as siblings, Hugh Bryson, Marion Bryson, Marie Horton, and Willie McCrimmon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Mack W. Bryson, Sr., of Brunswick, and a daughter, Melodie Smith (Eddie), of Dublin; three grandchildren, Mack W. Bryson, Jr. (Kelly), of Albany, GA, Virginia Henry (Lee), of Hartsfield, and Edward Bartley Smith, Jr., of Smyrna, GA; three great-grandchildren, Reynolds and Parker Bryson, of Albany, and Bryson Henry, of Hartsfield. He is also survived by a brother, Gary Bryson and sister, Freida Aycock, both of Waycross; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bryson Hannah, of Brunswick, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church with interment to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mack W. Bryson, Jr., Edward Bartley Smith, Jr., Lee Henry, Wally Taylor, Hoke Brantley, and Greg Garrison. Thanks to Integrity Hospice, he was able to spend his last few months in the comfort of his home with his family who were by his bedside at the time of his death.
