Graveside Services for Mae Jean Maddox Alford, age 84, of Dublin, will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Brewton Cemetery. Rev. Jonathan Fuller and Rev. Tommy Veal will officiate. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Mrs. Alford was born in St. Petersburg, FL. She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Chloe Klepper Maddox and a brother, Donald Maddox. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Bill Alford of Dublin, daughter, Kathi Dimmock (T. J.) of Clemson, SC, son, Steve Alford of Acworth, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister, 1 brother, 5 sisters in law, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 501 Soperton Avenue, East Dublin, GA 31027.
