Graveside services for Malcom L. Dunn, Sr., age 89, of Dublin, GA will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Northview Cemetery with David Currie officiating. Mr. Dunn was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Dunn and the late Pansey Crafton Dunn. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and received the American Defense Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars and a Bronze Star Medal. He retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by four brothers; Fred, Basil, Rewis and Stafford Dunn and a sister, Agnes Page. Mr. Dunn passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Survivors include his son, M.L.Buddy Dunn, Jr. (Judy) of Dublin; daughter, Mary Ellen Bell (Dalton) of Dublin, grandchildren; Lori (Bill) Hopkins of Thomson, Matthew (Hillary) Dunn of Savannah, three great-grandchildren; Lucas Hopkins, Savannah Hopkins and Kylie Dunn, three brothers; GC Dunn of Byron, Felton Dunn of Fort Worth, TX and Vivian Dunn of Dublin, a sister Blanche Wagner of Dublin and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sammy Currie, Bobby Currie, Bill Hopkins, Tommy Dunn, James Dunn and Freddie Dunn. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00a.m. until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
