Services for Margie Ann Peterson Brown, age 65, of Toomsboro, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Pastor Alford Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Ms. Brown was born in Jacksonville, FL and was the daughter of the late Henry Peterson and the late Lois Gillis Peterson. She attended Wheeler County High School in Glenwood. Ms. Brown retired from Alan Bradley and attended Milledgeville Christian Center. Margie was loved by those who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed spending time watching God's marvelous creations. Her favorite activity was planting flowers that would bring the hummingbirds and butterflies. She will be truly missed by her family, but they will know when they see the hummingbirds and butterflies they were sent straight from heaven. Survivors include her children, David Brown, of Dublin, Angela Roland, of Toomsboro, Steve Brown, of Dublin, Anthony (Susan) Brown, of Rentz, Christy Scott, of Dublin, Dawn (Robert) Moore, of Milledgeville, and Tony Brown, of Soperton; eighteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Mike Burgin, of Dallas TX, and Pat Burgin, of Louisana; sisters, Janet Bottoms, of Crawford, TX, and Darlene Hodde, of Waco, TX; and several nieces and nephew. Daniel Roland, James Roland, Kasey Churchwell, Tanner Pearce, John Haynes, and Jimmy Haynes will serve as pallbearers.
