Margie Nell Sumner, age 78, of the Rock Springs Community, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Serenity Place.

Mrs. Sumner was born in Laurens County to the late Dillon and Audie Wilkes Bracewell. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and retired from J.P. Stevens. She was an avid Braves fan, and loved to go fishing. She was a loving mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sumner was preceded in death by her sister, Novie Graham and grandson, Joshua Melton.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Melton (Ricky), of the Rock Springs Community; lifelong partner, Charles A. Sumner, of Dublin; grandchildren, Audrie Hancock (Clinton), of Moultrie, and Kyle Melton (Kristy), of Cadwell; great-grandchildren, Brailey Gyger, Bentley Hancock, Boa Melton, Kaitlyn Davis, and Laith Davis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Dillon Graham, Patrick Moore, Chad Graham, Ricky Graham, Scott Melton, and Mark Harden.
