Mrs. Marguerite Barron, age 98, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Serenity Place following an extended illness.

Mrs. Barron was born June 2, 1923 in Dexter, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late E.L. Smith & Della Braswell Smith; her husband, Prentice O. Barron; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce & Tal Fuqua; a son, Phil Barron; a grandson, Jason Fuqua; two brothers, Alvin Smith, Sr. and Robert Smith and three sisters, Gladys Alligood, Bessie Mae Gust and Myrtle Knight.

She was a longtime member of the Dexter Assembly of God and was the retired owner/operator of Barron's Beauty Salon.

She is survived by her grandson, Baron (Nikki) Fuqua, a great-granddaughter, Madison Fuqua all of Rock Spring, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brad Nowell & Pastor Stephen Beck will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00, Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Smith, Donnie Alligood, Shawn Alligood, Costas Gust, Jr., Jamie Smith and Tony Johnson.
