Marjorie Cochran , 96 , of Dublin GA passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.

Mrs. Cochran was a long time resident of Dublin GA and a prominent member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband H. L.Cochran, sons Pat Cochran and Don Garnto and her grandson Dale Garnto.

She is survived by her daughter- in- law Maureen Cochran, Grandsons Tyler Cochran and Jeff Garnto, Granddaughters Linda Garnto Riner, Faye Garnto Kilgore as well as several great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cochran was known as "Granny" by both her family and the many children she cared for in her home. Many of those children maintained a close relationship with "Granny" and through the years they had the joy of introducing their own children to "Granny Cochran".

Eric Henry, Jon Henry, Alex Garnto, Henry Donaldson, Jr., Chad Harrison, Mark Coursey, Heath Harrell, Larry Lee, Scott Rogers, and Ricky Patrick will serve as pallbearers.

Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm at a visitation on Thursday, April 28th . A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Kelly Maddox and Rev. Arthur Conley, will be held at Townsend's Chapel at 11am on Friday April 29th with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
