Services for Mark Fountain, age 57 of Rentz, GA, will be held Monday, February 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Rentz Baptist Church. Rev. Grady Mimbs and Rev. Tom Vann will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rentz Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mark was a lifelong resident of Rentz, GA. He was a member of Rentz Baptist Church and was a farmer. Mark was also the former Golf Course Superintendent at Green Acres Golf and Rec. Club and also worked with Uchee Trail Country Club of Cochran, GA. He was an avid Sportsman. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Patricia Grinstead Fountain. Mark passed away Friday, February 21, 2014. Survivors include his daughters, Mandi (Max) Knauss and Magen Fountain both of Nashville, TN, his father and stepmother, LaRue and Sue Fountain of Rentz, brothers, Mike Fountain of Lawrenceville, Chuck Fountain of Rentz, sister, Cindy (Dusty) Savant of Rentz, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Dan Rowe, David Rowe, Steve Brown, Dubby Coffee, Jerry Hatcher, and Jimmy Napier will serve as pallbearers. Josh, Jake, and Dusty Savant, Alan Watson, Joey Chambers, and Johnny Payne will serve as honorary pallbearers.
