Martha Jeanette Scott, age 82 of Dublin, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at First Independent Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Brown and Rev. Ronnie Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Scott was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of East Dublin. She retired as a seamstress with Dublin Garment Company. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Scott, Sr.; father, Willie Albert Burns and mother, Mattie Mae Harrison Burns. Survivors include her children; Paul David Scott, Jr. (Twila) of Dublin, Ricky Scott (Cathy) of Watkinsville, Debra Scott Dean of Calhoun, Jimmy Scott (Patsy) of Vidalia and Anthony "Tony" Scott of East Dublin; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and sister, Minnie Mae Brantley of East Dublin. Pallbearers will be Kevin Scott, Blake Scott, Dustin Abbott, Heith Scott, Austin Scott, and AJ Scott.
