Marvin Edward Johnson, age 83, of East Dublin, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2022.

Mr. Johnson was born in Johnson County on March 19, 1938, to the late Cleon Hines Johnson and the late Mozell Meeks Johnson. He was a retired mechanic working many dedicated years at Pitts Toyota. He loved fishing and working on boat motors in his free time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Barwick Johnson; sisters, Glenda Blisset, Beatrice Bussell, and Jan Miller; and brothers, Clayton Johnson and James Johnson.

Survivors include his children, Tonya Beasley (Duall), Tena Joiner (Tracy), Tal Johnson (Denise), and Tammy Johnson, all of East Dublin; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Carter's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor James Covington will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Kemp, Josh Beasley, Dakota Johnson, Nick Fordham, Stacy Kittrell, and Tracy Joiner.
