Services for Mary Faye Branch, age 72, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Mike Mertz, Rev. Cole Morris and Jordy Barwick will officiate. Mrs. Branch was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Addie Flanders Carter. She was a homemaker and an active member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Branch was a devoted wife of 55 years and a loving mother and "Granny" to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Ryals and Mazie Coons and four brothers, Raymond Carter, Elmer Carter, Franklin Carter and Milo Carter. Mrs. Branch passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Billy Gene Branch of Dublin; two daughters, Debra Jean Barwick and Amy Diane Cheek both of Dublin; son, Robert James Branch of Dublin; granddaughter, Joni Marie Stephens; five grandsons, Jordy Alan Barwick, Casey Loran Mimbs, Jacob Robert Branch, Joshua Daniel Branch and Michael Ryan Cheek; two great-granddaughters, Ashley Brianna Barwick and Braylin Jaide Stephens; great grandson, Tyler Jordyn Stephens; four sisters, Addie Lee Webb, Myrtle Waddell, Joyce Muran and Dorothy Carter; brother, Gary Carter, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sonny Warnock, Jack Warnock, Edward Clements, Dwayne Clements, Ovid Spivey and Terry Autrey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
