Services for Mary Butler, age 88, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2016, at Springdale Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Wilkes will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Butler died Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Mrs. Butler was a member of Springdale Baptist Church and was employed as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly for many years. She enjoyed meeting with her friends at Burger King.

Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus Gerome "Rome" and Leila Pearl Jones Gillis, first husband, Marion Butler; son, Dana Butler; and sisters, Pauline McNeal, Otene Bellflower, and Lavada Butler.

Survivors include her son, Kim (Sue) Butler, of Dublin; grandsons, Bobby Butler, of Fairborn, OH, Jeffry (Janelle) Butler, of Sarasota, FL; great grandchildren, Derek Butler, and Amber (Henry Andrade) Butler, both of Fairborn; great great grandson, Oliver Andrade, of Fairborn; and several nieces and nephews, including Linda Kight and Johnnie Ruth McDaniel, who served as caregivers.
