Mary W. Hayes, age 89, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Dublin passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014. A private memorial service and burial will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014. Dr. Jack Key will officiate. Mrs. Hayes was born in Winder, GA to the late C. Glenn and Mary Helen Wall Whitehead. She worked for 20 years as a tax clerk at Dublin City Hall before her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly B. Hayes; son, Charles Perry Harpe and brothers, Lewis and Roger Whitehead. She was so loved and will be missed by daughters, Laura (Bob) Kolb and Anna (Tim) Harden; three grandchildren who lovingly call her "Grans", Andrew( Leigh) Kolb and Matt(Misty), and Allison Harden: Jeff and Scott Powell; five great-grandchildren, Ben, Jacob, and Sophia Green and Sydney and Camron Harden; four step-daughters, Darsa(Garland) Pinholster, Dorian Hayes and Jayne(Lenny) Harkins, and Sherry(Warren) Powell, all of Atlanta.; five step-grandchildren, Dillon, Colt, Brieland, Slater and Landom Harkins, one great-great grandchild, Atticus Harkins; and niece, Marianne Still.
