Services for Mary Royal Hendricks, 89, of Dublin, will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Anne Gibbons, Lay Pastor and Rev. Wayne McDaniel will officiate. Mrs. Hendricks was the daughter of the late John Royal and the late Ruth Smith Royal. Resident of Lagrange for several years before moving to Dublin about 50 years ago. She was a graduate of Anderson College. She was retired from Nyanza as a lab technician. Mrs. Hendricks was a member of the Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church, Honorary Lifetime Member of Presbyterian Women, member of the UDC, Green Acres Garden Club and was a Board Member of the Hardy Smith Home Restoration Project. She was a Red Cross Volunteer. She was Laurens County Woman of the Year, 1987. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Allen Hendricks. She passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011. She is survived by her son, Eddie and Diane Hendricks of Dublin, grandchildren, Jason Edward Hendricks, of Dublin, Alicin Hendricks Hamm (Richard) of Athens, and a sister Betsy R. West of Acworth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Advocates for Alzheimer's Care, Lighthouse, 611 Bellevue Avenue, Dublin, GA 31021 or to the Mission and Outreach of Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church 511 Bellevue Avenue, Dublin, GA 31021. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
