Funeral Service for Mary Love S. Dominy Necessary, age 81, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 22, 2016, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Wes Moye will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Mrs. Necessary died Sunday, April 17, 2016. Mrs. Necessary was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. She was a hairdresser for many years. Mrs. Necessary loved singing Gospel music with her family. Mrs. Necessary was preceded in death by her parents, Willie O. Shannon and Mary Will Martin Shannon; husbands, Richard E. Dominy and James H. Necessary; sisters, Mavis Wood, Ann Sheppard, Carrie Bell Foskey, and Nina Lake; and brothers, John B. Shannon, Robert Shannon, and Charles Shannon and a son in law, William "Scott" Hoffmann. Survivors include her children, L. Cregg Dominy, of Dublin, and Kathy Hoffmann, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Corey Dominy, Kellie Smith, Kristyn Jackson, Kyler Dominy, William Hoffmann; great grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Addisyn Jackson, Waylon Jackson, Kylie Dominy, and Ella Black; brothers, Oscar (Venaree) Shannon of Chester, Gamble (Phylis) Shannon of Dublin and sister, Louise Foskey of Dublin. The family would like to acknowledge, with special thanks, the staffs of Shamrock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Serenity Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 400 Woods Avenue, Dublin, GA, 31021. Pallbearers will be Mark Davidson, Kyler Dominy, James Giddens, Randy Passmore, Rodney Shannon and Stan Sheppard.
