Memorial services for Mary Jo Munda Nemzek, age 73, of Dublin will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Shane Shriver will officiate. Mrs. Nemzek died Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Mrs. Nemzek was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Munda and the late Ava Oleita Pinholster Munda. She was a 1957 graduate of Dublin High School and a 1962 graduate of Grady Memorial School of Nursing. Mrs. Nemzek graduated with a BS degree in Nursing from Georgia College (GCSU) in 1980. She worked at Claxton Hospital, Laurens Memorial Hospital and Fairview Park Hospital for a total of forty-eight years of nursing. Mrs. Nemzek was Director of Case Management at Fairview Park Hospital for many years before her retirement in 2008. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nemzek was preceded in death by her sister, Maureen Manley. Survivors include her husband, Michael P. Nemzek, daughter, Leigh (Lee) Jaques, grandson, Michael L. Jaques, sister, Kathleen (Larry) Shriver, nephews and nieces, M. Shane (Stacey) Shriver, Christopher Shriver, , all of Dublin, Cindy (Tony) Davidson, of Edina, MO, great nephews and niece Holden Shriver, Sydney Shriver, Taylor Shriver, Ajaye Shriver, all of Dublin, brother-in-laws, Al I. (Pam) Nemzek, of Eau Clair, WI, and Mark B. (Ingrid) Nemzek, of Minneapolis, MN, sister-in-law, Patricia Lenore, of Michigan City, IN, and two dear friends, Becky and Brant Cline, of Dublin. The family will receive friends at the family home, 1400 Stonewall Street, on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army or Serentiy Hospice..
