Mary Erwin Orr, age 77, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Dublin. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Bob Williams and Rev. Tyler Plaxico will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until funeral hour at the church.

Mrs. Orr was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dublin for over 50 years. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and then obtained her Master's and Specialist Degree's from Georgia Southern University. She retired from education after 25 years of dedicated service with the Dublin City School system, and 7 years at Trinity Christian School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hugh and Pansy McGrother Erwin. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother. Her sweet spirit will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Tal Kellam Orr, Sr., of Dublin; sons, Erwin Freeman Orr, and his wife Sheri, of Dublin, and Tal Kellam Orr, Jr., and his wife Michele, of Surfside Beach, SC; grandchildren, Tatum Orr, Dylan Rogers, Anna-Grace Orr, Ty Orr, Lucy Orr, all of Dublin, and Kazz Orr, of Surfside, SC.

Pallbearers will be Cyler Garrett, Bill Bailey, Charles Coleman, Casey Garrett, Donnie Bradshaw, Christopher Bradshaw, and Kevin Goodwin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 665, Dublin, GA, 31021.
