Mary Charles Sikes, age 66 of Rentz, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Jim Fennell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Ms. Sikes was a member of Oak Dale Baptist Church and retired from Flexsteel. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Merrell Sikes and mother and step-father, Bennie and Garland Clark. Survivors include her brothers, Merrell (Sue) Sikes of Dahlonega and Greg Clark of Tucker; sisters, Ora Clark of Rentz and Tish Clark of Dublin; nephews, Charles (Jennifer) Sikes and Tony Sikes of Dahlonega, Josh Sikes of Columbus, Jody Baggett of Rentz and Clark Schrader of Dublin; nieces, Candace Irvin of Nashville, TN, Brittany Schrader (Alan Bass) of Montrose and Elizabeth Schrader of Dublin; great-nephews, Garrett Sikes and Tyler Woody of Dahlonega, Taylor Sikes of Cummings, Josh Baggett of Rentz, Austin Baggett of Macon and Greyden Calder of Dublin; great-nieces, Danielle Sikes of Cummings, Abby Sikes and Presley Sikes of Dahlonega, Morgan Baggett of Rentz and Rebecca Baggett of Macon. Pallbearers will be Charles Sikes, III, Tony Sikes, Garrett Sikes, Clark Schrader, Joshua Baggett, Jody Baggett, Alan Bass and Josh Sikes.
