Mary Ann Stevens' Obituary
Mrs. Mary Ann Stevens was born on August 10, 1937 in Chester, GA. She attended the public schools of Dodge County and was a graduate of Chester High School. She was united in holy matrimony to Edward Stevens in June of 1956. This union was blessed with two children. Ed preceded her in death on May 6, 2013.
Mrs. Stevens became a self-employed Beautician and practiced as a hair-dresser for many years. She dearly loved making crafts as well as sewing and gardening. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. She quietly departed this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Serenity Place in Dublin, GA. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Pat and Bo Floyd, and a grandson, Christopher Edward Stevens.
Her life will forever be cherished by her children: Charles (Brenda) Stevens, of Guyton, GA and Connie (Jeff) Webb, of Fair Play, SC; three grandchildren, Brad (Heather) Stevens, Ben (Kayla) Webb and Jake (Kayla) Webb; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Stevens, Sydney Stevens and Olivia Webb; sister, Patricia (Buddy) Horne; brother, Charles (Sandra) Rooks; sister-in-law, Evelyn Hunnicutt, and a host of devoted extended family including a niece, Jan Gay, who was exceptionally loving and dedicated in the years since Ed passed.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home at 3:00PM on Friday, September 16, 2016. Burial will follow at Reedy Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder Franklin Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
The family of Mrs. Mary Ann Stevens wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Fairview Park Hospital Intensive Care Unit as well as Serenity Hospice.
