Services for Maxine Fordham Morton, age 78, of Dublin will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Kyle Giddens will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Hour. Mrs. Morton was born in Dodge County, attended Dodge County High School and Berry College. She was the daughter of the late Abner Lamar Fordham and the late Estelle Pirkle Fordham. She was retired from Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and attended Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh F. Morton. Mrs. Morton passed away January 23, 2013 in Augusta. Survivors include her children, LaDonna (Steve) Stanford of Dublin, Forrest Craig Morton of Birmingham, AL, grandson, Hunter Lewis Arnett of Dublin, brother, Lynn (Myra) Fordham of Dublin, sisters, Faye (Edward) Wright of Eastman, GA and Gwenett (Eli) Evans of Hinesville, GA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice of Augusta, 1501 Anthony Road, Augusta, GA 30904 or to Serenity Hospice, 510 Bellevue Avenue, Dublin, GA 31021.
