Services for Mildred Young McNeal, age 88 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Marie Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto, Rev. Robert Rogers and Rev. Tom Vann will officiate. Mrs. McNeal died Wednesday. Mrs. McNeal was born in Laurens County; she lived most of her life in Wheeler County but the last several years resided in Laurens County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius Vanderbilt Young and Minnie Brown Young and one brother Bertis Leon Young of Cedar Grove. Survivors include her Children, Jackie (Royce) Whittle of Dexter, Marsha (Ricky) Ussery of Dublin, Shelia (Darryl) Underwood of Dexter and Bobby (Vaunell) McNeal of Helena, grandchildren, Lori (Mark) Smith of Helena, Rodney (Heather) McNeal of Helena, Krista (Mike) Ware of Warner Robins, Amanda (Vidulfo) Sosa of Dexter, Robert (Lisa) Underwood, of Atlanta, Dustin Underwood of Dexter, Alison Ussery of Florida and Will Ussery of Dublin, great grandchildren, Logan and Peyton Smith, Noah and Sofia Sosa, Gracie and Gunnar Ware, brother, Paul (Jean) Young of Cedar Grove and several nieces and nephews. Ryan Dixon, Caleb Browning, David McNeal, Keith McNeal, Lynn McNeal, Jim Mock, Johnny Fleeman and Randy McNeal will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA. The family will be at the home of Royce and Jackie Whittle, 632 Whittle Road, Dexter and will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Friday, December 31, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
