Mr. Millard Eugene Scarboro, age 95, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Serenity Place following an extended illness.

Mr. Scarboro was born October 31, 1926 in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Joseph Millard Scarboro and Mary Crafton Scarboro, his wife Ellen Smith Scarboro, a brother, Charles Scarboro, a sister, Faye Wolfington and an uncle and aunt, George and Nina Prescott.

He was a proud veteran of World War II having served with the United States Navy. He retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center as an Administrator and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dublin. He was also a past member of the Dublin Rotary Club. During his free time, he enjoyed playing music, fishing and golf.

He is survived by his son, Gene Scarboro of Milledgeville, his grandson, Zach (Kristin) Scarboro of St. Simons, three grandchildren, Aiden Scarboro, Kaci Scarboro and Ben Scarboro all of St. Simons and a niece, Susan (Wayne) Smith of Pinehurst.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Northview Cemetery with Elder Michael Hattaway officiating.
