Obituary

Mrs. Millie Anne Couey, age 79 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Services will begin at 11:00 AM on December 16th in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Dublin, GA. Mrs. Couey was a beautiful spirit and humble woman. She was devoted first to her Lord and Savior and then to her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She delighted in nurturing her garden, and spending time with her beloved Bailey. Mrs. Couey was a member of First Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class. She was retired from Southeast Paper after twenty-eight years of faithful service. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lessie Knight Warren, step-father, Ralph Warren, father, Milledge Mullis, and brother Dale Tennyson Warren. Survivors include her children, Susan (Wayne) Peebles, Robert (Elizabeth) Couey, all of Dublin, and Paula (W. Brant) Andrews, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Robert Brian (Laura) Peebles, of St. Simons, Laura deLynn Peebles (Brian) Watson, of Wadsworth, OH, Alex Wayne Peebles, and Robert Austin Couey, both of Dublin; great grandchildren, Emma deLynn Watson, Bradley A. Watson, Clay M. Watson all of Wadsworth; sister, Marlyn Cochran, of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank special caregivers, Bernice, Ella, and Sharon, who each shared her life with love and compassion. Grandsons, Brian Peebles, Alex Peebles, Austin Couey, son-in-laws, Wayne Peebles, W. Brant Andrews, and nephew Charles D. Garnto will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
