Services for Mollie Virginia Scott Hewett, age 84, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 14, 2017, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Myron Wise and Rev. Janice Laster will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.

Mrs. Hewett was of the Nazarene faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her house was always open for family and friends.

Mrs. Hewett was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sibbie Snipes Scott; sister, Willie Pearl (Jake) Logue; and brothers, Thomas (Velma) Scott, Paul (Jeannette) Scott, and Vernon Scott.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Bobby R. Hewett of Dublin; daughters, Elaine (Larry) McLendon, of Rockledge, and Diane (Terry) Devaney, of East Dublin; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Grayson) Dent, of Dacula, Brian (Patty) Portwood, of East Dublin, Brad (Jonna) Portwood, of Dublin, Lucretia (Heath) Braswell, of Rentz, and Deanna (Eric) Burke, of East Dublin; great grandchildren, Ryan McLendon, Shawn Burke, Gabriel Dent, Evan Portwood, Alaina Beth Portwood, Michael Dent, Eva Grace Dent, Karsyn Braswell, and Hannah Faith Portwood; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jeddis Scott, Randell Hewett, Elsie Hewett, Frances Hewett Capshaw, and Pauline Hewett.

David Scott, Billy Logue, Ricky Scott, Jimmy Scott, Tony Scott, and Jay Bryan will serve as pallbearers.
