Graveside Services for Morris Bracewell, age 87, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Nolon McDaniel will officiate. Mr. Bracewell passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011. Mr. Bracewell was a lifelong farmer and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and former Sunday School Superintendent. He was a former supervisor of the Laurens County Public Works District 2, and owner of the former Bracewell Feed & Seed. Mr. Bracewell was also a former employee of J.P. Stevens. He was the son of the late, Oscar Edward Bracewell, and the late, Edith Daniel Bracewell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bracewell was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Chalker Bracewell; son-in-law, Emory H. Smith, brother, Roy Bracewell and sister, Nina Bell Boatwright. He is survived by his daughter Bunny Smith of Dublin; son, Morris Terry (Karen) Bracewell of Wichita Falls, TX; two granddaughters, Heather Bracewell of Whichita Falls, TX and Jennifer Smith of Adrian; three grandsons, Robert Bracewell of Wichita Falls, TX, Charles (Michelle) Smith of Dublin and Glen Smith of Adrian; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wesley Couey, Foster Couey, Cleon Couey, Jeremy Couey, Ricky Graham and Grant Rowe. The family may be contacted at 859 Roy Bracewell Road in Dublin. They will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
