Services for Myles J. Horton, age 77, of Dudley, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Tim Paulk and Rev. Frank Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Horton died Thursday, January 21, 2016.

Mr. Horton, a U.S. Army veteran, was a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church, and retired assistant plant manager at J. M. Huber Corporation. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in the church choir. His children and grandchildren were his life.

Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his parents, Mark F. and Queeny Holland Horton; brothers, Vassar E. Horton, Quincey Horton, and Dallas Horton; and sisters, Nettie Joe Allen, and Ruthie Itson

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Brown Horton, of Dudley; sons, Jeff Horton, of Carrollton, Gregory M. (Donna) Horton, of Guyton; grandchildren, Brittany Shea Horton, of Statesboro, Myles Cameron Horton, of Guyton, and Lauren Nicole Horton, of Statesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronnie Mullis, Dennis Waldrep, Bill Bacon, Earl Cannon, Darrien Bryan, Doyle Holt, and Brian Altman will serve as pallbearers.
