Nan Carroll Scarboro, age 81, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Wes Moye and Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scarboro was born in Laurens County to the late Clarence W. and Lucile Carroll. She retired from the City of Dublin after more than 45 years of service. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Carroll Jones.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, J.W. "Junior" Scarboro, of Dublin; daughter, Nanci Scarboro Sellers (Phillip), of Rentz; grandchildren, Kaylie Loftin (Stacey), of Dublin, and Wil Sellers and Kyle Sellers, both of Rentz; great-granddaughter, Chloe Carroll Loftin, of Dublin; brother, C.W. Carroll, Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews.
