Services for Neima Novella Hakes, age 77, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Dudley Baptist Church. Rev. Gerald Frazier and Rev. Billy Daws will officiate. Mrs. Hakes was a member of Dudley Baptist Church for 31 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the choir. She was also a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was the daughter of the late Earl W. Moore and the late Nannie Rhea Scott Moore. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert F. Hakes, Jr., brother, Eugene Moore and a sister Anna Faye Daniel. Mrs. Hakes died Thursday, November 18, 2010 after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, Robert Bob Hakes of Dublin; daughter, Stephanie Anne Hester of Monticello, GA; son, Royce R. (Ursula) Hakes of Denver, CO; grandson, Michael Hakes; four granddaughters, Jessica Hakes, Monique Ridley, Natasha N. Myers and Krystal A. Gaston; great-grandson, Emmanuel Gaston; great-granddaughter, Darinka Hakes; brother, Ben (Dorothy) Moore of Church Hill, TN; three sisters, Eunice (James) Trent of Kingsport, TN, Ruby (Norman) Brobeck of Jacksonville, FL and Lou (Bob) Kirk of Kingsport, TN and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tom Klassen, Barney Parker, Russell Faulk, James Bowden, Michael Dukes and Bob Smith. The family will receive friends on, Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Dudley Baptist Church Building Fund, 1425 Second Street, Dudley GA, 31002.
