Services for Nicholas Lamar Smithson, age 23, of Dublin, will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 26, 2017, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Ed Ellington and Rev. Myron Wise will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM. Mr. Smithson died Friday, February 24, 2017.

Mr. Smithson was a member of Dudley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a heart of gold and dearly loved his baby girl. Mr. Smithson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Al Smithson.

Survivors include his wife, Charlie Smithson; daughter, Raylin Nichole Smithson; father, Lamar (Helen) Smithson; mother, Jackie Miller; grandmother, Inell Smithson; grandparents, Randall and Delores Estes and Charlie and Lydia Miller; brother, Eric (Sativa) Raffield; and nephew, Dawson Raffield.
