Services for Nina Brown Jones, age 82 of Dublin, will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Rev. W.L. Currie and Joey Jones will officiate. Mrs. Jones was a member of Oak Dale Baptist Church. She was a homemaker but worked for many years at Alamo Shirt Factory. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and fishing. She loved flowers and her family. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late John Troy Brown and the late Rosie Jane Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas G. Jones; brother, Connell Brown and niece, Debbie B. Mims. Mrs. Jones passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. Survivors include her brother, Marshall (Faye) Brown of Cordele; sisters, Shirley B. (Willie) Clements of Dudley and Mary B. (Leon) Morris of Dublin; children, Tim (Tammy) Jones of Rentz, Mike (Sharon) Jones of Chester and daughter, Sylvia Jones of California; caregiver and granddaughter, Jenny Jones of Dublin; nieces and nephews, Dale (Sheila) Brown of Cordele, Denise (Danny) Strickland of Dexter, Bruce Rozar of Cadwell and Belinda Rozar of Rentz and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dale Brown, Bruce Rozar, Danny Strickland, Chris Jones, Matt Jones, Joey Jones and Jim Collins. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. They may also be contacted at the home of Willie and Shirley Clements, 662 Davis Road, Dudley and at Nina's residence, 2581 Oakdale Road, Dublin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oak Dale Baptist Church or Serenity Hospice.
