Patricia "Patsy" Barron Gilbert, age 65, of Dexter, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Buckhorn United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Myron Wise will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Gilbert was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She retired from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell after 23 years of service. She loved the outdoors and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Barron; father, Wilbon Barron and sisters, Ann Towle, Judy Stevens and Kay Barron. Survivors include her husband, James Wilton Gilbert, Jr. of Dexter; step-daughter, Tyna (Neil) Lord of Dudley; sons, Randy (Regina) Garnto of Swainsboro, Carroll (Sissy) Garnto of Cochran, Darrell (Kristen) Garnto of Dublin and Clifford (Amy) Garnto of Dublin; sisters, Joyce (Doyle) Allen of Chester, Jackie Kight of Rentz and Kathy Jo Barron of Dublin; brothers, Kenny (Cheryl) Barron of Dublin and Ronnie (Karen) Barron of Dublin, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Gabby.
