Services for Pauline "Polly" Calloway, of Augusta, will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Calloway died Friday, May 8, 2015. Mrs. Calloway was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta. She was a long time member of the Augusta Junior Womens' Club, and was named Club Woman of the Year twice. More importantly, she was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Calloway was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Mamie S. Hodges; her biological father, William F. Lester; husband, Robert Clarence "Bob" Calloway, Jr.; granddaughter, Gena Price; brothers, Douglas Lester, Richard Hodges; and sister, Jewel Larsen. Survivors include her daughters, Dianne Reid Perkins and her husband, Bill, of Evans, Sheila Calloway Thompson and her husband, Jay B, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jay B Thompson, Jr., of Birmingham, AL, Robert Edward "Rhett" Thompson and his wife, Henriikka, of Marietta, Kelli Thompson McHenry and her husband, Billy, of Minden, NV; great grandchildren, Aava Thompson, Alec Thompson, Ansel Thompson, Riley McHenry, Ansley McHenry, Alison Crout; great-great grandchild, Hensley Crout; several nieces and nephews. Ricky Hodges, Randy Hodges, Jay B Thompson, Jr., Rhett Thompson, Bill Larsen, and Hal Still will serve as pallbearers.
