Services for Penny Spires Foskey, age 58, will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Rev. Joey Diers will officiate. Interment will be at 3:00 pm at New Hope Cemetery in Nunez, Georgia (996 New Hope Church Road, Nunez, Georgia).

Penny Spires Foskey was born July 19, 1964 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Charlie Spires and the late Velma Howell Spires. She was a 1982 graduate of West Laurens High School. She had several jobs during her life, including the U.S. Census Department and Winnelson in Statesboro. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ryan Cameron Foskey, sister, Judy Walker, and sister Charlotte Spires.

She is survived by her life partner, Greg Evans of Midville; son, Roger Blake Hill (Jamie) of Ellaville; daughter, Ashely Hill Bailey (Seth) of Rentz; daughter, Charli Elise Foskey of Brewton; grandchildren, Roger Matthew Bailey, Harper Caridad Hill, Jace Wiley Bailey, Flint Everett Hill, Weston Drake Bailey, and Coleman Morgan Hill; sister, Pamela Spires Way (George) of Ephrata, PA; brother, Chuck Spires (Debra) of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews.

Blake Allen, Pratt Matthews, Owen Bailey, Park Buford, Rodney Fowler, and Kevin Jackson, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

Byron Spires, Jacob Spires, Landon Lampp, and George Way will serve as honorary pallbearers.
