Mrs. Prudy Walker, age 81, of Dublin, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Mrs. Walker was born in Buffalo, New York and lived in Miami before moving to Dublin in 1954. Shortly after arriving in Dublin, Mrs. Walker worked with local businesses to open a successful welcoming service to new residents. Mrs. Walker later began developing and selling real estate in Dublin, often working as an independent option holder. Mrs. Walker loved helping people and thoroughly enjoyed her work in real estate for over 40 years. Through her business, Mrs. Walker developed many lifetime friendships. Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul M. Walker Jr., a daughter Susan (Keith) Golden of Dublin; sons Jerry (Miriam) Walker of Thomson, Georgia and John (Cheryl) Walker of Huntsville, Alabama; grandson Ryan Golden of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters Brooke Golden of Dublin; Amy Peck of Huntsville, Alabama; and a great-granddaughter, Kayla Peck also of Huntsville. The family will receive visitors at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Thursday from 7p.m. to 8p.m. Services will be held Friday at 3:30p.m. at the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
