Services for Quinton Young, age 77, of Dublin will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate. Mr. Young was the son of the late W.B. and Mattie Lou Young. He was a lifelong resident of Dublin and charter member of Northside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Lora Thaxton; brothers, Ted Young and Carl Young and one sister-in-law, Joann Young. Mr. Young died Sunday, June 17, 2012. He is survived by a daughter, Christy Collier, of Macon; five sisters, Christine Mullis of Jacksonville, FL, Vonelle (Ferrell) Morton of Glenwood, Lynette (Wallace) Wright of Dexter, Carolyn Sanders of Milledgeville and Elaine (Allen) Mason of Dublin; two brothers, G.W. Young of Jonesboro and Gene (Mary) Young of Dublin; sister-in-law, Barbara Sue Young of Dublin and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Woodard, Mike Woodard, Travis Young and Eric Young, Buddy Young and Billy Young. The family may be contacted at the residence of Wallace & Lynette Wright, 299 Parklane Drive, Dexter. They will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
