Services for Ray David Harden, age 73, of Dublin, will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Nolon McDaniel and Reverend Wayne Durden will officiate. Mr. Harden was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. He was a loyal member of the Red Hill Masonic Lodge #533 for 34 years. He was also a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Bryant F. Harden and the late Mattie Lucille Roberson Harden. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy F. Harden. Mr. Harden went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat L. Harden, three sons; David (Marcy) Harden of Dublin, Hank (Kari) Harden of Tampa, FL and Michael Leach of Greensboro, GA; five daughters, Patty (Steve) Ussery of Dublin, Leigh (Joey) Nix of Milan, Lanette (Rusty) Drennan of Suches, Michele (Robby) Gable of Williamson and Rhonda (Tom) Chitwood of McDonough; 11 grandchildren, Shane (Natalie) Harden, Ashley (Cody) Austin, Casey Slade, Kati Ussery, Drew Ussery, T.J. Chitwood, Tyler Chitwood, Logan Chitwood, Elizabeth Leach, Taylor Gable, Kaylin Gable; and special friend, Kline Mack. Pallbearers will be members of the Red Hill Masonic Lodge #533. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Masonic Children's Home of Macon, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211 or Serenity Hospice 520 Hillcrest Parkway Dublin, GA 31021.
