Services for Rex Vance Brantley, age 69, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 29, 2015, in the chapel of Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville. Burial will follow at the Cemetery. Rev. W. L. Currie will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Brantley died Monday, October 26, 2015. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Brantley served three tours in Vietnam, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Brantley was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Frank and Bronnie Brantley. Survivors include his brothers, Frank (Sharlene) Brantley, Larry (Joan) Brantley; sisters, Ann Edwards, Frances Harden, Coma McKinnon; nieces and nephews; and companion, Glynda Sikes.
