Services for J. Richard Hodges, age 80, of Dublin, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Patton and Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. Mr. Hodges died Friday, October 05, 2012. Mr. Hodges was the son of the late George W. Hodges and the late Mamie Smith Hodges. He was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church, as well as the Men's Bible Class and was the retired owner of East Dublin Pharmacy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Roberts Hodges, sister, Jewel Larsen, brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Anna Lester, and brother-in-law, Bob Calloway. Survivors include children, Beth (Eugene) Tyler, of Dublin, Ricky Hodges, of Evans, Owen (Peggy) Hodges, of Dublin, Randy (Dianna) Hodges, of Dublin; grandchildren, Brad, Brian, and Blake Hodges, all of Evans, and Zac and Candace Hodges, both of Dublin; sister, Polly Calloway, of Augusta; nieces and nephews, Diane (Bill) Perkins, Sheila (J.B.) Thompson, Doug Lester, Jr., Celia (Walter) Murray, Bill (Kathy) Larsen, Karen (Hal) Still, and Harriette Larsen. Bill Perkins, Brad Hodges, Brian Hodges, Blake Hodges, Zac Hodges, Bill Larsen, Jay Thompson, Rhett Thompson will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
