Services for Mrs. Robbie Wood Ward, age 88, of McDonough will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Charlie Starr will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 6pm-8pm. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley Mays Wood Sr. and Lizzie Holland Wood, husband, Julian Franklin Ward, three brothers and a sister. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Borders (Larry)and a son, Ronnie Ward both of McDonough and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lee Ledford, Abner Belcher, Rayford Cleghorn, Jody Williamson, Allen Williamson, Danny Clements, and Cody Clements.
