Graveside services for Robert Eugene, "Bobby" Cochran, age 79, of Dublin, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 20, 2015, at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Larry Waldrep will officiate. Mr. Cochran died Saturday, July 18, 2015. Mr. Cochran was a member of First Baptist Church and engaged in numerous businesses throughout his life. He was involved with the Dublin Livestock & Commission, Super Duper Restaurant, Cochran Oil Company, farming, and U. S. Postal Service. Mr. Cochran served the City of Dublin as mayor from 1972 through 1980. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children and his dog, "Bo". Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his parents, M. E. and Hattie Mae (Snookie) Wade Cochran. Survivors include his wife, Marlyn Cochran, of Dublin; daughters, Candy Cochran (Greg) Graham, Sandy Cochran (Alan) Crabb, both of Dublin, Genia Cochran, of Phenix City, AL, Deborah Cochran (Mike) Evans, of Toomsboro, Leisa Cochran (Daniel) McElveen, of Dudley; grandchildren, Leslie Shealy (Lynn) Reed, Corey (Melanie) Shealy, Casey (Victoria) Crabb, Callie Crabb, Courtney Crabb, Matt (Joni) Graham, Todd (Delaine) Evans, Toby Evans, Grayson McElveen, Marleigh McElveen; great grandchildren, Cole Shealy, Emma Shealy, Kaelyn Reed, Mycah Reed, Autumn Grace Reed, Kylan Evans, Dylan Ward, Damon Ward; and beloved dog "Bo". The family will receive friends at the home of Marlyn Cochran. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
