Services for Robert "Bob" Lester Creel, age 56, of Dublin, will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, 1689 GA Hwy 19 South, Dublin, GA. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Reverend Kyle Giddens will officiate. Mr. Creel was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and the Boundary Breakers Sunday School Class. He retired with over thirty years of service from the City of Dublin Gas Department. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at his hunting club with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lester Creel and step-son, Jonathan Griffitts. Mr. Creel passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Gail Creel of Dublin; son, Ashley Creel of Dublin; mother, Dorothy Creel of Dublin; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Leslie Creel of Houston, TX; step-sons, Joseph and Robert Griffitts both of Dublin; step-daughter, Melissa (John) Coley of Kennisaw; four granddaughters, Hannah Schooler, Gracie Leigh Creel, Taylor Coley and Courtney Coley, as well as several aunts, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ashley Creel, Robert Griffitts, Sid Harrison, Tim Kennedy, Maury Beasley and Mike Carter. Members of the Boundary Breakers Sunday School Class will serve as honorary escorts. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour at Olivet Baptist Church.
