Services for Robert E. Griffith, age 83, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Patton and Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. Burial will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Maplewood Cemetery, Mayfield, KY. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Mr. Griffith, born in Mayfield, KY, was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and the Ben F. Williams Sunday School Class. He was a long time member of Dublin Rotary Club, and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He died Sunday, November 04, 2012. Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his parents, Jones Greene Griffith and Mary J. Andrews Griffith, and his first wife, Ann Andrus Griffith. Survivors include his wife, Grace B. Griffith, of Dublin; children, James (Becky) Griffith, of Spartanburg, SC, Ellen Griffith, of Warner Robins, GA, Robert J. Griffith, of Lawrenceville, GA; granddaughter, Sarah (Eric) Gray; step-children, Keith (Wyvonne) Johnson, Loy (David) Moorer, all of Montgomery, AL; and step-grandchildren, Brett (Megan) Johnson, and Jamie Moorer.
